What makes it 62% Kids-Friendly: Children are admitted until evening and can eat fish and chips in the beer garden, yet there is no play corner, no kids menu, and loud music after 8 pm may overwhelm them.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Enough time for a relaxed family meal, outdoor time in the heated courtyard, and a cozy indoor break
Family pub meal:
Choose classic dishes like fish and chips or Irish stew from the main menu.
Tip: Go at lunchtime to find a table easily and avoid the evening crowd.
Heated beer garden:
Let kids move around safely in the outdoor courtyard with overhead heaters.
Tip: Sit under the heaters on cooler days to stay warm while supervising children.
Cozy fireplace snug:
Gather by the indoor fireplace for a warm snack or drink.
Tip: Arrive early to claim a spot before it fills up with other guests.

I wish you could leave reviews without rating sometimes. So much depends on the night you show up. We were there last Saturday night and it was spilling over with loud, arguably rude youth. (20ish-year olds) I got a half pint of Beamish and tried to get out as quickly as possible. Maybe another night I'd of liked the place. It vibed bad intentions, like high school angst. I don't know a better way...

I love this Pub. We spent there three evenings in a week when we where in cork. Lovely people and good service. The ambient is also top. Live music was very good. We will see us again in August.

It's a good pub with a nice atmosphere. The live musicians are very loud but that's the same everywhere these days. Drinks prices are odd. I bought a Cronins cider twice and was charged €7.80 the first time and €7.10 the second.

This place it’s really nice and the pints was great. The atmosphere inside it’s cool
In winter the outdoor heaters keep the courtyard warm. In summer try early evening for live music but stick indoors if kids need quiet.
