Positives:

  • Family-friendly facilities: Buggy parking and ground-floor baby-changing are free to use during family shows.
  • Central location: Located on MacCurtain Street, it’s a short walk from nearby bus stops and city attractions.

Challenges:

  • Limited buggy space: The buggy-parking area fills fast—arrive early or leave prams at home.
  • Show length: Performances run 90–120 minutes; restless children may need a quick lobby break mid-show.

I watched The Rocky Horror Show this weekend and it was absolutely fantastic. Lovely building, and a really great show. My only gripe was that there was no photography allowed, (until the end of the show anyway). I think that this should be clearly stated on a sign for example to prevent embarrassment, as the steward was aggressively flashing his light to shine attention on me when I tried to tak...

What a building. Great place to attend a concert plenty of places to wait for the concert to start before you go into the main hall. The bar upstairs is large with excellent seating there to lovely view of the River Lee out the windows. Can't fault this venue. Drinks prices are not extortionate either. will be watching out for other up coming concerts there. Chris de Burgh concert was amazing.

We've been to Cork Opera House a few times, and we always enjoy our shows there. While it's a fantastic venue with great atmosphere, in my opinion, it could benefit from a few upgrades compared to places like the National Opera House in Wexford. That said, we had a wonderful time at The High Kings show – the performance was excellent, and the venue still offers a great experience overall. We'll de...

This selection process is all done by a measured loudness of popularity roar for each option. Then the audience is invited to decide which of the main five cast members plays each of the five principal roles in whateve...

Place amazingly busy, full house for the opera show. The evening was warm, and it was unbelievably hot in the balcony part, hard to breathe. Great room acoustics and well designed space. Subtitle screens broke few times while the show was on.
