Maia Hotel Jakarta (solo trip)

Rooms were smaller than expected. The free hotel wifi randomly cuts out and we were unable to reconnect despite multiple tries. Even though the rooms were clean, there’s still black mold on the white grouts in the toilet. Tried contacting front desk but no answer. The reviews don’t seem to be genuine.. When I checked in the room was in very poor condition and did not appear to have been properly cleaned. There was hair on the floor and even after requesting a change the bed sheets were still stained. The bathroom also had visible scum grease and severe mould problem. This hotel is situated in front of Thamrin City mall. For shoppers lover who want to spend a lot of time at Thamrin, I suggest to book and stay here. It just 5 minutes walking distance. The hotel also located at beside of the road and you can easily get access to taxi and grab wihout hassling to walk further as it has their own lobby so taxi and grab can easily drop and pickup you.

Good staycation experience overall. The hotel’s location is excellent — close to the shopping attractions around Thamrin City, Grand Indonesia and Plaza Indonesia. All easily accessible within walking distance.
