Children can build sandcastles, take family surf lessons and splash in KU DE TA’s kids pool, but rip currents, few lifeguards and strong sun mean constant adult watch is essential.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Enough time for kids to play, surf and visit a beach club without rushing.
Build sandcastles & paddle:
Kids can shape towers on the wide white sand and splash in the shallow shore.
Tip: Bring buckets and spades and apply reef-safe sunscreen for long play.
Family surf lesson:
Join a local surf school offering family packages for parents and kids.
Tip: Book ahead online and request instructors who work well with young children.
Stand-up paddleboarding:
Rent boards at the beach and glide over calm water as a family.
Tip: Put life jackets on everyone and start in knee-deep water.
Mrs Sippy Pool Club:
Enjoy a shallow wading pool and grass play area next to the beach.
Tip: Arrive before 3 pm so kids under 18 can use the pool.

Nice beach. Clean. Very busy. To enjoy mostly in the evening. Sunset view is great. Beach cafes arrange live music by local bands. That can be enjoyed with food and drinks. One can also enjoy same sitting on beach also. Food costs are moderate and average.

Nice beach. Sand is a shade blacker than normally from its volcanic origins I guess and kinda sparkles which is cute. Many resorts ranging in quality. Many places to eat and drink. Actually if you walk up the little parallel road at the back of the beach it’s interesting. We found a little old religious area by where a stream comes down to the beach. Very interesting to see.

This beach offers a beautiful blend of relaxation, color, and atmosphere—especially during sunset. The vibrant bean bags laid out along the shore create a cozy, picture-perfect setting that truly comes alive in the evening. From Kuta to Seminyak, there’s a long, walkable stretch of beach connecting multiple spots. Along the way, you’ll find a great mix of beachside cafés, restaurants, and clubs—e...

A lovely place for sunsets and to grab a meal, although it can be very loud and over crowded with all the tourists. We generally prefer quieter and more authentic experiences when travelling, but now we can tick Seminyak off our list.

Cracking sunsets on this beach. I enjoy walking along here regularly. Plenty of places to eat and drink so you can enjoy the sunset. It can be very busy at times.
