School-age children can turn the long stair climb into a counting challenge and learn Balinese culture, yet parents must watch slippery edges and accept zero playgrounds, railings, or kid-oriented toilets.

Positives:

  • Rich Cultural History: 11th-century shrines offer an engaging history lesson for kids.
  • Quiet Atmosphere: Fewer crowds than nearby temples ensure a calm family visit.
  • Nature Setting: Ancient trees and terraces create a scenic backdrop for photos.

Challenges:

  • Steep Steps: 300 uneven stone steps can tire young children quickly.
  • Limited Shade: Few covered areas make mid-day sun intense; bring hats.
  • Basic Facilities: Toilets are simple squat-style with no changing tables.

  1. Challenge kids with a fun step-count hike

Place to pray, relax and clean our mind. There was a myth " you can get what you want by praying here" and if ur praying is fulfill then you donate something here. I saw many things as donation with stated names to show that they had succeed.
