Couples get iconic sunset views and a dramatic shared hike for memorable photos; cheap entry and nearby warungs help, but heat, crowds, and sheer drops reduce comfort.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for couple trip: Enough time for sunrise or sunset views, short hike and snacks
Sunrise at T-Rex Viewpoint:
Watch sunlight reveal the dinosaur-shaped cliff and turquoise bay.
Tip: Arrive by 7 AM to secure a front-row spot and bring a small tripod.
Half-way Hike for a Quiet Ledge:
Descend 5–10 minutes along wooden stairs to a secluded photo spot.
Tip: Stay above the rocky section; wear sturdy shoes and carry water.
Explore Hidden Cliff Angles:
Follow the trail behind warungs to less-frequented lookout points.
Tip: Mind the unrailed edges and avoid strong gusts.
Picnic with Ocean View:
Sample local snacks from warungs at the cliff’s edge.
Tip: Buy cold drinks on-site and spread a light blanket.

The view from the top is absolutely unreal-just like the photos, if not better. The cliffs shaped like a T-Rex and the turquoise waters below are breathtaking. We didn't hike down since it looked steep and challenging, especially in the heat, but the viewpoint alone makes it 100% worth the visit. Go early to avoid the crowds and the midday sun!

Super crowded but you'll have a very nice time. From parking to all the way to the beach at the bottom of the cliff, taking all those steep steps, is quite an effort, but you'll have the best experience. For me this was the one spot I wanted to visit from the first day in Bali. The view if mesmerizing and even though it was hot and i was sweating but i could not take my eyes away from T-rex. My kid also loved but due to shortage of time we couldn’t go to the bottom. But next time i would love to go down.
