Challenges:

  • Uneven Paths: Trails include loose soil and stone steps; wear sturdy shoes.

It’s not a UNESCO World Heritage site for nothing. A must see in Bali. These are the most beautiful rice fields I’ve ever seen, felt endless. You can easily spend the whole day walking around and enjoying the views. Try to aim for sunny weather. We were unlucky that it started raining soon into our visit. The fields look way more beautiful when bathed in sunshine.

Walking through the paths feels like stepping into a postcard. We highly recommend going with a guide 👣📚 – they make sure you don’t get overcharged 💸🚫 and explain the history, culture, and farming traditions that make this UNESCO site so special. Tr...

We had a wonderful time at Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. We hesitated between visiting Tegallalang rice terraces and these ones and we are so glad we chose Jatiluwih. We got there at 9am and the view on the terraces in the morning light is the most beautiful landscape I have ever seen in my life. We parked our motorbikes and started the orange loop from the side closest to the parking. We hardly met an...

Must see spot in Bali. Even if we got there at 10, I was surprised that it wasn’t crowded at all. The place is big so it didn’t make us feel like there were too many people around. We could easily walk around the area. The view is amazing even though we visited after harvest. All workers are nice and smiling. The traffic by car when we get there is very well managed to ensure walkers security. I d...

Highly recommend if you want to escape big crowds and enjoy amazing views of the largest rice terrace in the country. To avoid traffic, try to arrive around before lunch time between 8 am and 12 pm. Otherwise, I highly recommend coming to this place and enjoy serene environment! There is plenty of free parking and local restaurants with good views!
