Positives:

  • Close-shore reef: You can explore vibrant corals just a few meters from the beach.

Challenges:

  • Basic facilities: Restrooms are simple and there are no lockers or changing rooms.
  • Rocky access: The path includes uneven rock steps; wear supportive footwear.

Parking 2k idr Snorkelling set rental fee from the shop nearby 75k idr The corals are thriving, fishes are a lot, we saw some gamat and eels as well. Just make sure not to step on corals since it's quite shallow. There are some rubbish near the shore which can dampen the mood, but the fishes made up for it.

Blue Lagoon Beach is such a beautiful hidden spot! The water is crystal clear and perfect for swimming or snorkeling — we saw colorful fish right near the shore. The beach is peaceful, not too crowded, and surrounded by stunning views. It feels like a secret paradise. I’d definitely come back again!

Blue Lagoon Beach in Bali was a nice spot to visit. The water was clear and the view was beautiful. There were many rocks, which made it a great place for snorkeling. But I was a bit sad to see a lot of waste along the shore. If the beach was cleaner, it would be even better. Still, it’s a good spot for a short visit and underwater fun.

Nice little beach in walking distance from Padang Bai harbour. Ideal place to go while waiting for next day boat ride. Beautiful bay for snorkelling with pristine water, loads of corals and different fish species, lucky ones can spot a turtle also. You can rent a sunbed or lay down on the sand, not many people are coming here, most come from snorkelling tours, so the beach is quite empty.

The Blue lagoon is the entry for 2 very busy sections of snorkeling and connected to the main Port of Padang Bai in the area. On the day I went the visibility was not very good and I saw many fishes which the guides feed to attract them towards you and also quite a bit of plastic rubbish in the water. The coral is unremarkable.

When is the best time to visit Blue Lagoon Beach (Bali, Indonesia)?

Visit during the dry season (May–October) when tides are calm. Avoid November–March when storms can stir sand.
