What makes it 59% Kids-Friendly: Kids can enjoy glass-bottom boats and swimming with life jackets, but deep water, sheer cliffs, no toilets, and zero shade on the beach demand constant adult vigilance.
Why 1–3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Gives time for a boat tour, a swim at a calm bay, and a quick viewpoint visit without tiring kids.
Family-friendly boat tour:
Board a child-safe boat from St. Nikolaos to Navagio Beach with swim stops in shallow bays.
Tip: Choose tours that provide life jackets in kids’ sizes and allow you to bring snacks.
3-hour glass-bottom boat trip:
See fish and the wreck underwater through a glass floor without swimming.
Tip: Book early to secure seats near the glass panels and bring light jackets.
Navagio Cliff Viewpoint:
Drive to the cliff-top platform for a classic aerial view of the wreck and cove.
Tip: Arrive before midday to avoid crowds and keep children inside marked safety zones.

This famous cove can only be reached by boat, and you cannot go ashore because of the shipwreck remains on the beach. Still, the view of the dramatic cliffs and turquoise water is absolutely breathtaking, and swimming in the crystal-clear sea right from the boat is an unforgettable experience. It is definitely a tourist hotspot and can get very crowded, as it’s one of the most iconic places in Za...

Unfortunately, the beach itself is no longer accessible, but you can still visit it as part of a boat tour. The water has a stunning color and is incredibly clear, making it a truly beautiful place to see and enjoy.

The place is must see. The contrast between the turquoise water, the white cliffs and the iconic shipwreck creates an unforgettable view

Always wanted to see this since I was a kid. Finally nice to have ticked it off. Shipwreck is cool but the amount of tourists is insane. Do prepare yourself for that. Best to hire your own boat for the trip as it will be more enjoyable. I would do that next time.

Lovely viewpoint, very small area open to be able to take a picture. The queue for the viewpoint platform took about 40 mins. They are doing work in the area so may be better next year. Well worth the wait though, probably best to see from a boat tour.
Visit in May–June or September for calmer seas, cooler temperatures, and fewer crowds. Avoid July–August to prevent long waits on boats and hot mid-day sun.
