Ira Hotel & Spa - Adults Only (solo trip)

Very beautiful hotel, lots of stairs so if you have bad knees probably not for you. We arrived and the reception was closed and had no way to contact them but a local managed too but we had to wait 20 min in the cold. I would come back though, they have great breakfast and awesome looking pool and in a nice spot but still close to everything.

We stayed here in early December, in the off-season. The hospitality was exceptional. We were given many suggestions by Kostas and Rigas, the managers, for how to explore the island and enjoy the places that are active in the winter. Not as described !! Half of the rooms have no view at all ! I was under the impression of booking a room with sea view. Instead a "cave" room with no view was provided.the room had 1 door and 2 small windows to the passage way between 2 different receptions ! Both ira hotel's and blue dolphin hotel. Good things first: the views were breathtaking, and the hotel itself was beautiful, especially the cave-style room (although it was a bit dark). Amazing location right on the edge of the caldera. The rooms were brilliant, clean and had everything we needed. Staff couldn't help us enough and helped us with reservations. Pool was small but there was lots of space to sit. Breakfast was good, but huge portions!
