What a beautiful little gem! Pablos, the hotel manager, was such a gracious host! He gave us suggestions for activities, circled areas on a local map that we should see, and he had our amazing breakfast delivered right to our little front porch sitting area. Absolutely charming resort with an unbelievable view of the entire island. We reserved a room that had both an outdoor balcony and a rooftop you can access for panoramic view of the entire island. Lovely Stay at Abelonas Retreat Golden East moved my booking here, and I was pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious, and I could see both the sunrise and sunset – absolutely beautiful views. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast was really good. Even though the weather wasn’t great during my stay, the overall experience at Abelonas Retreat was very nice.

We stayed in the room with the loft. The views were stunning. The front desk guy was very informative about the area. It is the perfect place as home base while exploring. 30 min walk to Fira. The bus stop close by is a hard walk. Downhill to the stop. Uphill back. Very difficult walk. Consider taking a taxi back instead of bus to avoid walking up the hill. Great place to stay in Santorini with a beautiful Sunrise and Sunset view. Complimentary breakfast is really great with nice Vegetarian options. Greek yogurt is really good.
