What makes it 68% Kids-Friendly: School-age children can swim with provided gear and enjoy on-board barbecue, yet the unguarded railings, deep water, and lack of child-size toilets mean parents must supervise nonstop and pack all essentials.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: This allows enough time for the cruise, swimming stops, mud bath and sunset without rushing young children.
Family-Friendly Sunset Catamaran Cruise:
Sail from Vlychada to Red and White Beaches. Enjoy a BBQ lunch on board and swim in calm bays.
Tip: Ask for children’s life jackets and arrive 15 minutes early for boarding.
Mud Bath at Hot Springs:
Float in warm sulphur springs near the volcano island. Kids love the soft mud.
Tip: Bring towels and change into swimsuits at the boat’s changing area.
Perissa Beach Promenade Stroll:
Walk along the black-sand shore before sunset. Stop for ice cream or fresh juice.
Tip: Visit ice-cream stands 30 minutes before sunset to avoid the crowd.
Kayak in the Caldera:
Rent a tandem kayak to paddle with older kids (8+). Explore sea caves and hidden inlets.
Tip: Share a kayak between parent and child; follow the guide’s safety briefing.

Too crowded in the hot spots to see the Caldera, but if you are patient, can find some nice, unique and less crowded spots to view the sunset.

Amazing views of the white villas, the Mediterranean sea and the islands around. To see the views of the villas you to walk through the tiny walkways between these restaurants, resorts and villas. Every turn is different you have a different view point. The sunset is amazing. Lots of tourists in July, but not like you can’t walk around or find a place to have dinner with your family and friends.

Easy to get to in Fira, just a bit of a steep hill to walk up. View is stunning and gives the perfect centred shot of the sun. I would suggest arriving 20-30 before the time on the weather app (iPhone). Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Unforgettable Santorini Sunset Santorini's sunset is pure magic. The sky transforms into a mesmerizing blend of vibrant colors, painting a stunning backdrop for the island's whitewashed buildings. The serene atmosphere and breathtaking views make it a must-see experience. Prepare to be captivated by one of nature's most awe-inspiring wonders.
Late May to early July or September to early October offer milder temperatures and smaller crowds. Summer months can get very hot on deck.
