What makes it 68% Baby-Friendly: Stroller-friendly paths, rentable umbrellas, and free changing huts help parents, but very hot pebbles, limited shade, and no dedicated nursing room reduce comfort for infants.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: A 2–3 hour visit lets you enjoy beach time, stroll the promenade, and take café breaks without tiring your baby.
Promenade stroll and plane-spotting:
Walk the flat, paved path and watch small planes land nearby.
Tip: Bring a stroller and go in the morning when flight activity is highest.
Shallow-water paddling:
Let your baby sit at the water’s edge on the gradual black-sand slope.
Tip: Use a swim diaper and sun hat, and stay within arm’s reach.
Rent shaded sunbeds:
Reserve sunbeds with umbrellas to protect your baby’s skin.
Tip: Order a drink or snack at a beach café to secure free beds and shade.
Beach-side café breaks:
Stop at cafés along the shore for feeding and diaper changes.
Tip: Look for tables under awnings and request a high chair in advance.

Really cool volcanic beach. Pebbles instead of sand that are all dark (and scorching hot in July). Tons of umbrellas and chairs for rent and some beach restaurants will even give you them for free if you eat/drink with them. Water is clear but was choppy when we were there. Overall really good experience.

Didn't get the opportunity to jump in the water due to the weather but the beach was amazing with plenty of shopping and good food in tbe immediate area. The beach is right over the airport runway sonit was very cool seeing the planes fly overhead on there approach to the airport.
June–September brings full beach services; arrive by 10 AM for shade and sunbeds. In April–May and October, pack a light jacket and check café hours as some venues close.
