Petousis Hotel & Suites (solo trip)

I spent a wonderful week here in November with my daughter. The weather was warm and sunny - a great winter tonic. Everything was spotlessly clean and our maid service was faultless. The pool area was very tasteful - surrounded by herbs and greenery, palms and olive trees. The main hotel was beautifully decorated with authentic antique furniture and rustic items.

We have just left the Petousis, and at first I was a little nervous as my wife booked here and it wasn’t our normal 5 star…..but that’s where it stopped! I would highly recommend this hotel, and would definitely return. The grounds are well kept and the staff are perfect,…always polite, always attentive and always helpful. We had a relaxing and cosy holiday in a peaceful location just a 4-minute walk from Heaven Beach and to the city centre was easy too - just a 25-minute bus ride away. Horrible experience, booked this back in April. It’s October now. Just landed in Crete and drove over to the hotel to check in. The lady said she couldn’t find our reservation. Took our passports showed her the multiple emails we had. She brought the manager over saying how our reservation was canceled. We never received a cancelation email. The best hotel I could’ve picked, the rooms are beautiful. A very lovely man checked us in in the evening and was so polite, there was a lady the next morning on the desk that was a little rude but it didn’t dampen our stay and was amazing for the location too! Lots to do around! Highly recommend the restaurant attached and the local beach clubs if your staying here.
