What makes it 38% Baby-Friendly: Babies are allowed and lifts fit strollers, yet intense noise, flashing screens, and no advertised changing tables or nursing room make visits challenging, so suitability is low.
Note: Video Games Museum is 38% Baby-Friendly. You may want to consider other Baby-Friendly Things to Do in Heraklion for a more suitable experience.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: A 1-2 hour visit fits around baby's nap and lets you see key exhibits without rush.
Stroller-accessible console displays:
Explore ground-floor and elevator-served exhibits with a stroller.
Tip: Use ramps to move easily between floors with your baby in tow.
Hands-on play zones:

Themed photo sets:
Pose in '80s living room and '90s bedroom backdrops.
Tip: Bring a small toy to catch your baby's attention in photos.

The Heraklion video game museum is an absolute must-visit for anyone who grew up with a controller in their hands. Walking through the exhibits felt like stepping into a time machine, with so many games from my childhood on display that I was hit with a wave of nostalgia. Seeing those old cartridges made me feel old! The staff deserve special mention. They’re not just attendants but true enthusia...

Been there today and it was such a cool experience! Not only the exhibition but also the possibility to actually play the arcade games from the past and also newer titles in the basement of the museum ❤️👌🏻 And the people who organize the exhibition are very passionate about their work, thank you for the discussion about history, gaming and the good recommendations for really good food 😁

Amazing little place, the first and only museum of it's kind in Greece probably. Lots of consoles and even arcades many of which you can even play on still. Nostalgia trip and a must visit for all ages

Such a great place in the center of Heraklion. We went on a rainy day and it was perfect! The collection is super impressive and we had a blast playing all the games! Highly recommend for kids of all ages- or adults.

The museum is fully indoor and air-conditioned, making it a cool summer escape for your family. Check the museum website for temporary exhibits before you go.
