Well, for me a hotel that has cockroaches is definitely not a 5-star hotel. Also, when I arrived I found an open door from my room to another room. Make sure you always check if there’s an extra door in your hotel room if it’s closed. I liked that reception is 24/7 though. Buffet breakfast could be a little bit more tasteful as in 5-star hotel, but I liked they had Greek/Turkish coffee to try (mak...

Just returned from a week of wandering around Athens and we had the pleasure of having the Wyndham Grand Athens as our base. Wonderful Hotel that looks great inside, has a small but adequate rooftop swimming pool and amazing rooftop bar / restaurant, with a great view of the Acropolis. The food is tasty and fresh and the staff are very hospitable. The rooms are spacious and the location is conveni...

This is a gorgeous hotel with a fantastic view of the acropolis and excellent service. Check-in was easy, room service was delightful. The room was clean and comfortable… the restaurant and pool were lovely. The surrounding neighborhood gets a little quiet at night and it’s a 30 minute walk to the acropolis. It made me a little nervous, but I had no problems, even as a solo female traveler.

The pool area is small so if you are hoping to chill by the pool during the summer months, I would be quick and the pool area didn't open until 11am, wasn't a problem for me as I say, I was only there for 1 night. Room was modern and spacious and bed...
