Veikou Grove (solo trip)

Just moved to the area and I gotta say it’s very impressive for Athens and Greece . Coming from London you think of Athens as just cement and marbles and history . For me this is my favourite place . The cafe at the park , the pool , the open gym , so well kept , so beautiful . Well done Galatsi . You won my heart .

Huge park, full of trees and green grass, with great views of the city if you climb a little high. Has playgrounds, sport centers, outside gyms, playgrounds, a theatre, a little church and cafes. Great for families with kids, for dog walking, for picnics or for simple strolls!

I am biased because I am a regular but veikou Grove is a great quick get-away for your daily needs. Plenty of green, magnificent view, likable shops, very well taken care of and stuff for kids as well. There's also an Olympic sized pool which makes it even more pleasant to the eye. Definitely recommended, especially during spring and summer times, and autumn if not too cold.

A great park to go for sports. There are enough space for everyone - soccer players, yoga practice, runners, frisbi or just to go fir a walk or a family picnic. There are also 2 cafes to chill, so you won't stay hungry. If you climb the hill, you may catch a sunset and nice view. Take 608 bus fir public transportation or ask google maps for a short way if you go by car.
