What makes it 48% Baby-Friendly: Wide, flat paths allow strollers and the nearby museum has a baby room, but the main stadium lacks confirmed nursing areas and match noise can distress infants, so visits require extra care.
Note: OAKA - Athens Olympic Stadium is 48% Baby-Friendly. You may want to consider other Baby-Friendly Things to Do in Athens for a more suitable experience.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time for a stroller-friendly stroll, photo ops, and a picnic without rushing.
Stroller-friendly promenade:
Walk the wide, flat esplanade around the stadium under the smooth concrete arches.
Tip: Use the full roof overhang to shield baby from sun or light rain.
Photo under Calatrava’s roof:
Take family photos beneath the stadium’s sweeping white roof pylons.
Tip: Visit at golden hour for soft light and fewer crowds.
Picnic on the lawn:
Relax on the grassy areas outside the main stands with your baby.
Tip: Bring a picnic blanket and snacks; restrooms nearby usually have fold-down changing tables.
Visit the Olympic Museum:
Explore Olympic history at the Athens Olympic Museum inside the OAKA complex.
Tip: Level 1 has a Baby Room with changing table and space to feed your child.

So great to see the locals jogging, cycling, dog walking and children playing! Athens needs definitely more open spaces like this.

Excellent experience watching a Panathinaikos match here. Very lively yet civilized atmosphere. Stadium looks great and has good amenities, tickets at lower gates come with decent catering.

Came for the Panathinaikos v Chelsea game. Stadium is impressive from the outside, inside it looks dated, has poor facilities and needs a lot of renovation. The view from the away end behind the goal isn’t great.
In summer, come early morning or late afternoon to beat the heat. Check the OAKA events calendar—events can close parts of the esplanade.
