Overall a pleasant experience. Reception staff gave a brief overview of the museum when I pick up the ticket. Budget around 2-3hr for this small museum would be ideal, especially if you would like to enjoy a drink at the cute indoor cafe. Free wifi available for you to download the museum app on the spot. Bring your own headphones. They offer videos with sign language explanations for a large numb...

It is a nice museum with a significant permanent historical exhibition from years before BC, featuring detailed explanations and engaging videos. I especially enjoyed the exhibit by Marlene Dumas on Cycladic art. Remember to visit the coffee shop and the art shop. They have very good pastries and coffee! See the picture where I enlarged the food!

Very interesting, artifacts, found in the periodic and in the permanent exhibition, The audio guide for the periodic exhibition was very brief. I hope next time the rooms hosting the periodic exhibition that the air-conditioning works especially on a very warm day. The café looks great and will definitely visit next time.

Loved this museum! The Cycladic figurines are super unique and the whole place is really well curated. It’s not too big, so it’s easy to take your time and really enjoy the art. The building is gorgeous too, especially the neoclassical part. Definitely worth a stop if you're into ancient art or just want something a bit different in Athens.
