Positives:

  • Stroller-friendly summit: The paved plaza at the top allows easy stroller movement and safe space for your baby.
  • Quick access: The 10-minute funicular ride keeps your baby settled and avoids uphill hiking.

Challenges:

  • No baby-changing facilities: Restrooms at both stations lack changing tables; bring a portable pad and wipes.
  • Station stairs: You must fold and carry a stroller up small flights of stairs at each station.
  • Limited shade: Few shaded areas at the summit; pack sun protection and a lightweight blanket.

Incredibly over priced. Its a 4 minute trip in a black dark tunnel. If you don't feel like climbing the hill, take the trip up and walk back down. The views outside are much nicer than the tunnel in the dark. The funnicular is very disappointing, but the views at the top and walking back down are very nice.

This was fun for the children but hugely overpriced! £50 for 5 of us to travel 5 minutes up and back down! Incredibly hot and it's just a black tunnel! If you're able to, I would recommend going up the hill for sunset via the beautifully landscaped flat footpath that runs all the way to the top! Or maybe a single way ticket for the kids to enjoy the experience and then walk down and enjoy the nic...

I see people saying it’s expensive. STOP BEING CHEAP. ITS €13 for a round trip. I believe the issue is they walk all the way there but a one way. Then get tired to come back down then have to buy another 1 way, THATS YOUR FAULT. HERE IS A TIP- take a taxi there. The amount of steps we had to go up, I almost gave UP. We got there a little after 10AM WHICH WAS THEE PERFECT TIME. After 11 the...

Getting to the top is a bit of a challenge, as it's a moderate hike covering about 0.9 miles with a 216-foot elevation gain. If you have health issues, it’s probably best to skip the hike. You can also take the Lycabettus Funicular, a tram...
