Positives:

  • Free baby entry: Children under 5 enter free with a paying adult.
  • Baby-care facilities: Every floor has a baby-changing room with nursing corner near lifts.
  • Stroller access: Small strollers are allowed in most exhibits; lifts connect all levels.

Challenges:

  • Narrow gallery aisles: Some displays have tight spaces where bulky prams must stay at the entrance.
  • Crowded during demos: Live family demonstrations fill up; plan to arrive 10 minutes early.
  • Low lighting: Dim areas like the mine may unsettle your baby; bring a stroller light or use phone flash.

The Deutsches Museum is really cool and has many different sections. You definitely need a full day to visit it properly and see everything in detail. The aircraft and aviation section was especially interesting and well done. I only wish there were escalators, as there is a lot of walking and stairs involved. Overall, it is absolutely worth visiting, but make sure to go with enough energy and t...

Overall a great museum with an incredible collection. However, it feels like it hasn’t changed much in the last 15 years. It’s definitely in need of a modern update with more interactive features to keep it engaging for today’s standards. Still worth a visit, but needs some fresh energy!

I took my grandson to the Deutsches Museum. The different exhibitions are quite good, although some, like the technology section with the vintage and modern aviation and the space exploration are excellent. The optical and music sections is also worth mentioning. Unfortunately some of exhibitions my grandson wanted to see was either closed down or remodeled. Al in al it was still a learningfull ex...

One of the best technology museums ever. Our children had a blast exploring and interacting with the many exhibits. We learned many new things and dad had a great time in the aviation section of the museum. From space, aviation, engineering, chemistry, physics, agriculture, the museum has so many science exhibits. Huge recommendation for families visiting with kids. We visited during the week at t...

In summer, arrive early to avoid midday crowds and heat in the atrium. During Munich school holidays (late June–August), book a quieter weekday morning slot. In winter, the warm indoor galleries offer a cozy escape from cold winds.
