Amazing museum, I would suggest if you have time. We were tired and decided to move a bit faster but we spent 2 hours and 45 minutes. I think the entry is cheap when compared to other museums especially considering the pieces in the museum.

More than a century in the making and what started as a private collection of the Wittelsbach family, now stands as one of the best art museums in the world. Alte Pinakothek is a heaven for art lovers and a place where time is moving slower. You get to enjoy every painting, room by room and floor by floor. We took advantage of the Sunday ticket and for 1€ you can't beat this experience. Highly rec...

I was stunned that there is no barrier between you and the art itself, you can see the details really close!! There are amazing art pieces from Raffael, Gaugin, Cezánne, Degas, Van Gogh, Rodin.... I went on a Sunday, which was a really...

I'm delighted to see a live Dürer portrait! Overall, I was very excited about visiting. Outstanding collection with excellent explanations and audio materials. It wasn't crowded at all. I came at 10am, maybe because of that. There were tours, too. Overall, very happy and satisfied!

I was lucky to visit on a Sunday when the entrance fee was only 1 euro. Before entering, you need to store your bag, so make sure to have some coins ready. You can choose to leave your coat in a locker or at the staffed coat check — and you know, the lockers are free. There are so many artworks on display that you could easily spend more than two hours exploring if you want to appreciate them full...
