Positives:

  • Easy stroller access: Barrier-free entrance lets you enter without stairs.
  • Safe crawl area: Wide wooden floor gives your baby room to move under supervision.

Challenges:

  • No dedicated changing room: Use standard restrooms or ask staff at the barrier-free entrance for a spot to change your baby.
  • Stairs not baby-friendly: Spiral stairs to the dome are narrow and unsafe with a stroller or baby.

It's a beautiful cathedral from outside as well as inside. Don't be daunted by the 267 steps to get to the panoramic views. It seems like a lot but isn't. There are various check points as to number the steps remaining which is quite encouraging. The views are OK and blocked by scaffolding in some bits.

I didn’t go inside the Berlin Cathedral, but just seeing it from the outside is already impressive. The building is absolutely beautiful, with stunning architecture and incredible details that really stand out. It’s a great place to stop, take photos, and admire one of Berlin’s most iconic landmarks. Even without going inside, it’s definitely worth visiting and appreciating from the outside.

Don’t forget to add the audio guide to the visit (5eur) it is worth the money. The restoration after the war is a story by itself. There was work being done when I visited the gallery at the top of the dome but the view was still beautiful. Highly recommended if you’re into architecture and religious art.

This is a must see whilst in Berlin. It’s a sight to behold and a really fun trip, that you can complete in your own time. There is a fee to enter, but even from the outside the architecture is incredible. Inside, you can take your time to admire the sights and even sit in the hall. It’s a really calm, beautiful place. There is the option to ascend about 267 steps to the top and then have a panora...

This Cathedral is well worth a visit. There is an entrance fee and then you step inside. Take your time there is so much to admire and take in. The architecture is amazing. You also have the opportunity to climb the stairs for a rooftop view. Something like 280 steps, well worth it for the views. Highly recommended
