The museum has displays showing several artifacts from Roman and Greek times. It's an impressive display and loads to view and take in with lots of information. Internally the building is interesting. The cost of entry isn't cheap so you may want to consider your interest before visiting.

A truly breathtaking experience. The neoclassical architecture of the Altes Museum is a masterpiece in itself, providing the perfect backdrop for the stunning collection of classical antiquities. Walking through the rotunda was a highlight of my trip to Berlin. Highly recommended for history buffs and architecture lovers alike

This is not just a museum, but a home to the Berlin Goddess, a testament to the city's rich cultural heritage. Best part of my Berlin tour! Strolling around the UNESCO World Heritage Museum Island, in a winter evening. Surrounded by five iconic museums, history, art and architecture. The golden lights add on to the surreal experience. I'd recommend this late night walk to everyone. Captured some beautiful pictures.

Good collection of Greek, Etruscan and Roman art, mostly sculpture and mosaics. Lots of room to enjoy the art, lovely old building. Buy the museum island ticket that covers multiple museums. Attendant upstairs couldn’t be bothered to reply to my question, preferred to chat with his mate.
Winter weekdays are quiet—midday visits feel almost private; summer afternoons fill up fast, so aim for morning slots.
