What makes it 63% Baby-Friendly: Gardens suit strollers and baby can use free changing tables across estate, but no nursing room, metal-frame prams banned indoors, many stairs, crowds and noise make a calm visit difficult.
Why 3–4 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time to tour key rooms and enjoy the gardens at a baby-friendly pace with breaks.
Hall of Mirrors:
Walk through the palace’s mirrored gallery and see 357 crystal chandeliers.
Tip: Use a baby carrier here—strollers may need folding in busy rooms.
Stroll the Gardens:
Follow wide gravel paths past fountains, groves and statues.
Tip: Bring your stroller; paths are flat and offer shady rest spots.
Picnic by the Grand Canal:
Relax on the lawns with bread, cheese and fruit.
Tip: Buy picnic items in town and set up near Little Venice for shade.
Rowing-boat ride:
Glide on the Grand Canal for a unique view of the palace.
Tip: Request a free baby life jacket and keep baby near your seat.
Spring blooms make stroller walks fragrant. Summer fountains are lively but can be crowded and loud—visit early or skip shows. Autumn brings cooler, quieter gardens. Winter limits garden access—focus on indoor tours.

We did both a tour of the palace and the night fountain show. The palace and grounds are spectacular, and the audio tour was very informative. The gardens and night show were also pretty unbelievable and worth checking out after dark. Just note that there is a lot of walking, and the gardens aren’t necessarily steady ground.

This is one of my favorite places in the world from now. The gardens of the palace are amazing and you can walk and stay here for hours. Also take a talk with friends. On the other side, the palace is an incredible place, the paintings on the wall and the architecture are wonderful. I toon the audio guide and recommend it.

The Palace of Versailles is a breathtakingly beautiful destination that showcases stunning architecture from a bygone era. The highlight of the palace is undoubtedly its magnificent gardens. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as you'll want to explore every inch of the gardens. My husband and I visited during peak season, and it was quite crowded, but it was still an unforgettable experience. My ...

Amazing! Please keep in mind that to get there easily is to buy tickets in advance at least one day. They implemented the hourly schedule to get into the palace itself(for example, 9:30,10:30, 11:30 and so on access). Most likely if you come early , you will get in the morning groups easily. We can around noon without tickets and only could get the tickets to enter the palace at 16:00. It’s not a ...

It is warm in summer, so be prepared. The palace is full, and I mean really full, with paintings, murals, frescoes, statues, busts, baroque furniture, etc. There are so many decorations of everything that there is no way to note it al...
