What makes it 77% Couple-Friendly: Couples get romantic dimly lit tanks, a 360° shark tunnel, and an after-hours Saturday visit with champagne, but daytime crowds of schoolchildren slightly reduce intimacy.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for couple trip: Allows time to explore key exhibits, enjoy a show, and stroll at a relaxed pace.
Walk the Shark Tunnel:
Step through the 360° glass tunnel as sharks and rays glide overhead.
Tip: Stand in the center panel for unobstructed photos of the sharks.
Stroll the Jellyfish Gallery:
Admire Europe’s largest color-changing jellyfish collection in soft lighting.
Tip: Visit during evening hours when tank lights shift hues for extra romance.
Enjoy the Promenade Japonaise:
Discover Japanese art and Edo–Showa metal sculptures woven among the tanks.
Tip: Look for hidden crab sculptures near the coral displays for a fun scavenger hunt.
Book the Saturday Night Visit:
Experience the aquarium after hours with a complimentary glass of Champagne.
Tip: Reserve online early; entry begins at 7pm and includes one drink per person.

Very cute hello kitty experience. There was even a Koi fish petting area. Also a cute boutique to get souvenirs at the end

A wonderful Aquarium with an optional online audio guide (that costs extra). The aquarium is smaller than I expected, but the jellyfish section is incredible. Museumshop was not really exciting and under renovation at the time of my visit

Nice and well stocked aquarium right beside the Eiffel Tower. Great way to spend an hour or so looking at sealife. Their jellyfish exhibits were quite good.

Not impressed, but good for kids. After visiting the New York aquarium, this one felt a bit small and underwhelming. But for a child, it was enjoyable — jellyfish, sharks, and some interactive areas. A decent option for a family outing in Paris.
Weekends in summer get busy—arrive at opening. Winter offers quieter afternoons and special holiday light shows.
