Opera de Nice (with baby)

a beautiful opera house in nice. went in for a show, but had to appreciate the architecture. the place was a bit hot (went during the summer), so i had to fan a bit. but regardless a very nice place.

I’ve been to many opera theatres around the world, but this was my the worst experience. I was trying to buy the ticket online and to get the good seat many times, but the website failed. At least, later, I got one of the last seats somewhere “in the middle of nowhere”. Sure, I understand that this was the cheap seat and I should have been ready not to have the beautiful view. But I wasn’t ready ...

On the evening of February 14, 2025, the Bal Veglione at the Nice Carnival took place at the Nice Opera House with grandeur. A very nice building both inside and outside. I have visited a performance Ballet and I was fully amazed. The interior design is splendid. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The minus could be a toilet. There was just one on the ground floor, so it was necessary to queue.

Charming Opera located in the heart of Nice’s old town. Best seats at in the center ground floor or on the balconies. Avoid the cheapest seats which are high above, there’s almost no place for your legs, and I’m medium stature so a big guy will feel like in a sardines box. Above all, literally, don’t forget to look up, to appreciate its magnific ceiling!
