Marc Chagall National Museum (with baby)

Nice’s museum opened by and dedicated to Marc Chagall - primarily consisting of his ‘biblical’ works, and those related to religious themes and tropes. Interesting to see this line of his work compared to some of his other more famous pieces. Not overly big, but interesting for any art lovers.

The pieces are displayed according to a clear storyline, so even if you're not very familiar with art, it's easy to follow and enjoy. Sadly it's in need of upkeep but the art is still spectacular. The fountain around the outside mural is empty. And the museum closes for lunch. And the red room is posed off. You can only view it from it's entrance.

This national museum houses a permanent exhibit of Chagall's paintings, stained glass, and mosaics. The paintings are from his biblical cycle. A documentary film illustrates the creation of the four seasons mosaic. The museum is located in a quiet park, including a cafe and restaurant.
