What makes it 90% Kids-Friendly: Children find a paid carousel, mist fountains, big lawns, and an adjacent playground; toilets cost €0.50 and there are no full-time attendants, yet overall play value is high.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Allows time for carousel rides, fountain play and a stroll without tiring younger children.
Vintage carousel rides:
Board the classic manège with horses and aeroplanes.
Tip: Bring €2 per ride; have exact change and join the queue early.
Splash at the water jets:
Let kids play in the low-level fountains safely.
Tip: Pack a change of clothes and towel; go when the sun is strongest.
Run games on the central lawn:
Open grass area offers space for ball games and kite flying.
Tip: Bring a ball or kite; keep an eye on little ones near the ponds.
Petit-Train city tour:
Hop on the electric train departing from the garden edge.
Tip: Buy tickets (€12 adult, €6 child) at the kiosk; seats fill up on weekends.
In summer the mist fountains run full-time—bring swimwear and towels. In cooler months dress kids in layers and wear shoes with good grip for damp paths.

The Rugby World Cup Village is held here in the park September/October 2023. Big screen. Free entry. Lots of stalls for food and drink and merchandise. Carnival atmosphere. On the down side there's not enough seating.

Nice place, sometimes too crowded. The sundown is amazing and the seaside is good to take a long walk and enjoy the views. The park is next to the sea, and there are plenty of things to see around. If you want to spend a good day in Nice, just park away from the downtown and walk, otherwise it will be difficult to find a parking spot!
