Hotelo Lyon Charité (with baby)

We wanted to check in at 3 pm as the rules are that the earliest check in is 3 pm. But they only started the cleaning at 3 pm so it is 4 pm and we still didn’t check in. We have only 1 day in Lyon and didn’t want to waste our time. It is terrible. I stayed 2 nights here. Very conveniently located next to Perrache (train, tram, bus), but not the prettiest area. The building is old, quaint but could use some renovation. Staff was friendly.

I had a lovely weekend here. Very friendly staff. The hotel itself is very homely with a lovely decor. Breakfast was really good. It is very well located with plenty of restaurants nearby with plenty of choice. It is a great base for discovering the older part of the city. I will definitely be back.

Hotelo Lyon Charite offers a decent stay with rooms that, although tiny, are perfectly functional. The toilet bowl is a bit too close to the walls, but the water pressure and shower are great. The staff are friendly and helpful, making the experience pleasant. The bed is a little soft but manageable for a short stay. A fridge would have been a nice addition. Location is great, right in the centre with easy access to public transport and plenty of restaurants. The room was small, outdated furniture and the bathroom could have been cleaner. The toilet is hung too high on the wall (I am 5.9 and my feet were not touching the ground). Staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was ok
