Hotel des Celestins (solo trip)

The location for this property is ideal. It’s in an excellent part of Lyon for exploring the city. We are on a budget holiday but if you can I would spend a little more for a larger room. The basic rooms are very tiny. I also feel the incremental rate to have breakfast included is too high for the basic breakfast provided. The staff are all kind and helpful. Rooms are very hot and stuffy.

Really pleasant stay for 3 nights in Lyon. Very central location and easily access all of the city from the Bellecour metro stop. Staff was incredibly friendly and had no issue with our small dog staying in the room with us.

This was the perfect location for walking around old Lyon. Plus that allowed us to leave our luggage after we checked out some could walk the city and do a walking food tour and see the Roman Theatre ruins. The staff was absolutely great and the room was nice and comfortable.

This little gem of a hotel is centrally located in a gorgeous part of old Lyon. Each one of the rooms has a different name and a different configuration. We were in La Bouillote on the top (6th) floor - there is a lift to the 5th floor so be aware the if you stay in this room you will have to walk up one level - and it met our needs perfectly. My husband and I stayed here for two nights and found our room wonderfully comfortable despite the heat outside. Floor-to-ceiling blackout curtains helped us sleep well. By day, the hotel staff thoughtfully answered our questions about local sights and transportation, and helped get us hydrated.
