Campanile Lyon Centre - Gare Part Dieu (couple trip)

Rooms are a bit small but nicely renovated and comfortable. The breakfast was tasty with plenty of selection, including some hot items. The location is superb, right across from Part-Dieu station, which made getting around Lyon very convenient.

We stayed at Hotel Campanile in Lyon because of its location made it ideal for traveling to and from Lyon as well within Lyon. The room however was a disappointment for a three star hotel. The room was difficult to keep cool even though we lowered the AC temperature below 20 C. When it did run to sufficiently cool the room, the AC ran very loud which made it hard to sleep. Fantastic Sunday brunch at a great price point! Attentive, kind, and patient staff, and a great variety of fresh and homemade products, constantly refilled. A definite highlight of my vacation :).

The hotel itself was average. Convenient location, however the rooms were basic. The main issue I had was that twice during my stay I had someone enter my room. The first was another guest who had been checked into the same room and therefore had a key - he entered the room at nearly midnight when I was in bed and asleep. Good experience, rooms at Campanile are always on the smaller side but it was very tidy and very clean. It would be nice to have a fridge to keep food but overall it was all good. The dinner buffet was good, possibly the only let down was from the mains, limited choices compared to the starters and desserts.
