What makes it 62% Kids-Friendly: Children 6-12 may enjoy musicals like Madagascar and free earplugs exist, yet each child needs a paid seat, loud volumes can overwhelm, and no play area or on-site dining discounts lower appeal.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Allows time for the show, fitting ear protection, exploring the foyer and a quick riverside walk without rushing kids.
Attend a family musical show:
Watch a child-friendly production, e.g. “Madagascar – Une Aventure Musicale.”
Tip: Book tickets early for seats together and choose a mid-price category to stay within budget.
Borrow hearing protection:
Get free ear-plugs at the foyer bar or rent kids’ protective headphones.
Tip: Ask at the cloakroom on arrival; bring an ID for the headphone deposit.
Explore the venue’s architecture:
Walk around and admire Renzo Piano’s boat-hull design from outside.
Tip: Head to the quay side for the best photo spots.
Combine with a riverside stroll:
After the show, walk along the Rhône on the Cité Internationale plaza.
Tip: Grab a snack at a river-view café nearby for a relaxed end to your visit.

LALALAND concert 2023 in Lyon 🙌🏻🙌🏻 was great! but if they have more screens for cameras that film musicians playing, it will be perfect!

Huge and well kept! New seats that are quite pleasant. If you are tall, you might find the space being slightly tight, but everything else was great

Came here to see Dita Von Teese. Very quick and efficient staff coming in. Friendly staff throughout helping with any questions. Went to the bar before the show and had 2 glasses of red wine and a big macaroon which were all not bad and not too expensive. Bar was pretty busy and slow during the interval. Seats were comfortable and the shoe was great!
Look for family shows during school holidays (October and winter break). Summer schedules have fewer kids events; check the calendar ahead.
