Camping de Lyon (solo trip)

Great overnight stop off on our road trip, travelling with pet - easy to find, late check-in was efficient and the amenities were exactly what we needed. The setting was beautiful and reception team were helpful before and after our arrival.

It’s the third time we visit this camping. We like it because it’s very easy to access, very good location. The personal is well prepared and nice and the showers and toilettes are in perfect conditions, much much better than other campings. This is well-located site with a very friendly atmosphere. Transport links to Lyon by bus are great. The pool was a great facility to have on such hot days. The main building is lovely with clean sanitary facilities and a very nice bar/cafe. However, the showers were not warm, and there was no warm water for washing-up, which was disappointing. A different experience then the south of France camp sites. Much more compact. Vans close together, hard pitches. Not much privacy. Pool was nice. Small.. bar area was nice. Showers ok, play area.. Best bit was getting a ride into Lyon. In an uber type transport.€13 each way. Too far too cycle into the city. Not sure would stay at this site again.

Stayed with our caravan for two nights in June 2025. It is a good place to stop close to the motorway or if you want to visit central Lyon which is easily accessed using the bus stop outside the gate. The showers and toilets are good and modern and seemed pretty clean.
