The Danish Railway Museum in Odense was probably one of the most informative and fun railway/train museum that we’ve been to… The museum is shaped like a semi-arch and spans 2 levels along with some outdoor areas. The reason for the semi-arch design is because there’s a turn-table in the middle that is able to bring trains in and out of the premise. This gives the museum some flexibility in rotat...

A beautiful museum. There's a lot to see and even a chance to board the trains. There's a wonderful puzzle at the end, which rounds off the visit nicely. Definitely plan a visit.

If you are an adult and visit without kids, I would still recommend that you take the train. It’s an experience in itself! The museum itself is vast. We arrived around midday and ran out of time when the museum closed at 16:00 o clock. I wou...

Trains that you can board on, detailed descriptions, amazing playground, mini train for kids and grownups, pretend play area with costumes upstairs, clean toilets and changing tables, vintage bus tour that takes us around the town, friendly helpful staff at the gift shop who patiently explained to me the characters and themes of each D...

They have around five steam trains and seven large old diesel locomotives, including the MY, MX, and MZ classes. There's also a bunch of other cool trains—some you can even ride! You can learn a lot about the history of the Danish railway, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. In short: The be...
