National Museum of Denmark (solo trip)

A fantastic museum. It tells Danish history from the Viking Age to the present day in a very engaging way. The collection is incredibly rich and the Viking artifacts are especially fascinating. Definitely a must-visit in Copenhagen

We went with our kids (7 and 9) and absolutely loved this museum. Most visitors just think “Vikings” when they think about Scandinavia. However, the Nordic Bronze Age and earlier periods have so much fascinating and under-appreciated history and this museum covers it beautifully. Good big museum with multiple levels and buildings! Vast varieties of many contents and really interesting things to see! There is a little children playground in the middle of the complex but only for children and with an extra fees. (I saw a Viking set up with a guys dress in the Viking style but we can't go in as an adult 😞) The Doll House section was super impressive with the number and size ...
