What makes it 81% Baby-Friendly: Babies enter free and there are changing tables, pram parking and quiet courtyards, yet cobblestones shake strollers and no designated nursing room means caregivers should bring a carrier and plan ahead.
Why 2–3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for gentle walks, animal visits and rest breaks in quiet courtyards.
Green Courtyard Picnic:
Spread a blanket in a shaded courtyard to feed your baby and relax.
Tip: Bring your own snacks and a light blanket for comfort.
Sensory Stories & Animals:
Watch geese, goats and chickens roam in open courtyards.
Tip: Stand quietly at the fence for close-up views and soft animal sounds.
Historic House Peek:
Carry your baby in a sling to explore furnished period homes.
Tip: Use a baby carrier to navigate narrow doorways and steep steps.
Rest & Care Facilities:
Use free changing rooms and pram parking near the entrance.
Tip: Note locations on the map: behind the Mintmaster’s Mansion and near the Poster Museum.

If I could give this experience 10 stars I would. We went between Christmas and New Years and got to all the Christmas decorations, taste all the foods and even play Christmas games with the elves. One of the best museums we have ever been to (and we go to a lot)

Amazing replica town of old town Århus taking places from everywhere in denmark and going back in time all from 10 years ago to 1600s. You can even go into the apartments/shops which is super fun.

Absolutely amazing place! It really is like you are back in time. It was so interesting walking around fully immersed in the past. You could maybe spend all day here if you really took your time. My favourite thing in Aarhus and possibly the best musuem I’ve been to!

The other buildings and exhibits are great too. The festival...
In summer, courtyards offer cool shade under trees. In winter, bundle your baby in warm layers for outdoor areas.
