It turns out there are three locations within a 10-minute walking distance, and the one I entered wasn’t the one I had expected. The hotel has best location, along Nanjing Road (East) walking street and next to subway line 2. For such good location, base on my search, this hotel offers the best price. The room and inventories are clean and well maintained. AC is perfectly normal to me. Will book again on my next visit to Shnaghai.

The hotel is located at the prime area of Nanjing Road pedestrian street so this is definitely the biggest plus point. Staff were generally friendly and rooms were reasonably clean. Unlimited free drinking water provided. Worth a recommendation.

Don’t be mistaken by the good reviews here. The hotel rooms are old hence the Aircon is not cold and lack of ventilation(I had to request a fan). The toilet area is inconvenient. Bed is hard and carpet is dirty. Much like a 2 star hotel.

Forget "for the price" or "decent hotel" This hotel is AWESOME! Best breakfast. Location..... OMG!! Right beside Nanjing Rd.... and I mean RIGHT BESIDE! The room was amazing. Big. Clean. Super clean. And the bathroom shower.... was soooo good. It's like a boutique hotel meets high end hotel. You would struggle to find better. And.... if you are Aussie.... the price is amazing good value..... cheap...
