Mercure Shanghai Hongqiao SOHO (with kids)

Excellent hotel near Honqqiao Airport. Very close to Trip/Ctrip Headquarters and has a brand new shopping center that has opened 1 block away with many stores and restaurants. The rooms are spacious and clean with friendly staff and a very complete breakfast. Great value for the price.

I had to give 2 stars rating as I need to stay in the room with the smell of cigarette smoke for the whole week. Eventhough it is a non-smoking room, someone nearby smokes all the time. They don't offer to change the room. So very disappointed with the services of this hotel.

The hotel is very clean and modern, close to the airport. Comfortable rooms with good quality bed and mattress. The receptionists are very friendly, but their English level was very limited. I really liked this hotel and its proximity to a metro station. The room was adequate in size and really comfortable. Very clean. Great gym which I used a number of times. Staff were nice and some spoke some English at the desk. The price I paid was also good. It was less than most others in shanghai. My only real downside was the restaurant.
