It is new and nicely designed building with mostly temporary exhibitions. We were lucky to see to see paintings from Orse, France. The venue has everything for a quality time spent. You can see a MAP logo from far away, what makes it easier to find the building. We didn't buy the tickets online, but in high season you can hear SOLD OUT in the afternoon of weekend day. A museum with a picturesque view of The Bund. Visited to view the paintings of the prolific painter, Chen YiFei. Absolutely stunning works!

Modern architecturally designed building, with many unique art pieces such as the sculpture hanging from the roof reaching the floor. The interior is clean, peaceful and tranquil. The large floor to ceiling windows show the beautiful view of the bund and the rooftop allows you to feel close the Oriental Pearl Tower. Overall you really can spend a whole day there.
During Golden Week and major holidays, visit weekday mornings or late afternoons for fewer crowds and cooler temperatures by the river.
