The National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) is Beijing's futuristic titanium-domed "egg" landmark on West Chang'an Avenue with standard hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (last entry 4:30 PM); it's closed Mondays but fully operational on Sundays.

Very unusual shape for a concert venue, super cool. Much nicer outside than inside. Great music seasons and good acoustic.

This place is superb, awesome and mesmerizing!! I had the honor being hosted by BOC and take a tour in this magnificent building. 3 times larger than Sydney Opera house!! French architect (if I heard it correctly).. but such a large dome.. it’s a feat difficult to complete… great job and highly recommended to visit esp night time..

Definitely, this is a masterpiece in terms of design, structural engineering and architecture. Simplicity at its end. Exquisite finishing materials, everything is matching perfectly in details and textures, marble, wood, light and shadows, gloss and soft surfaces. Amazing dimensions of internal space, huge opening horizontal and vertical as well, curves playfulness, impressive sample of new China ...
