Beautiful gardens. Even on a chilly autumn day it was wonderful to wander through and admire the variety of plants, shrubs and trees.

A small store at the gardens where you will find unique works of local craftsmen, artists. Gorgeous lilies in the pond. If you visit the cafe-restaurant (which deserves a separate excellent review) next door, you will get a discount on the entrance...

Lovely gardens, truly wonderful. Such a wide variety of flowers, grasses and things. I especially enjoyed seeing lizards in the vegetable garden - best be careful when picking string beans. Stopping in for lunch at Charlotte & the Quail is also a treat.

Late spring showcases rhododendron and peony blooms. Early mornings in summer are cooler and quieter. Wednesday evening picnic nights feature live music—bring sunshade and baby-safe ear covers.
