  • Safe Water Play: A sheltered cove beach has calm water perfect for kids to splash and float toy boats.

Challenges:

  • Cliff-Side Hazards: Steep drop-offs and uneven rock edges require close supervision and helmets for climbing play.

I really enjoy this park! A short trail along the water, with several benches to sit and rest on. I often see groups of seals playing near the rocks in the water when I come here There are some sign posts explaining the military history at this location. There’s a picnic and grass area (about 12 tables) A small beach And a rock wall that I often see people rock climbing on! (I don’t climb my...

Wonderful place for off leash dog walking! Safe, beautiful views and friendly people! But: 1. FENCES NEED FIXING TO SECURE GIANT SHARP NAIL STICKING OUT IF THEM 2. FENCES NEED PROTECTION NETTING INSTALLED WHERE DOGS DUG PATHS UNDERNEATH 3. PARK NEEDS MORE ENFORCEMENT and people calling out those who do not clean dog poo! Too much dog poo in the grasses!

Lovely walking trails with historical information signs explaining the bunkers and a tribute to the young battalion of soldiers from the late 1800s . We saw the COHO ferry pull out this morning and make its way across the straight to Port Angeles. Lots of good viewing spots for ocean traffic, Birds,Ducks, and you’ll see lots of dog walkers with their dogs off leash.

We love this place for dog walks & sunsets! It's one of my favorite spots to walk my dog because there's always other dogs to play with. Lots of room to run around & play. Fully fenced in (except the parking lot). And the views are really spectacular from here.

The park had lots of pathways leading to the water and along the water. This is a great place to walk your dog and/or enjoy great views of Juan de fuca straight. There are benches along the look outs and even a...
