Positives:

  • Free Entry for Baby: Children under 2 enter gardens and guided tours at no charge.
  • Stroller-Friendly Main Paths: Most garden and waterfront trails are paved and pram-accessible.

Challenges:

  • Uneven Side Trails: Wood-chip and shell paths can be bumpy—stick to main routes with a stroller.
  • Stairs Inside the Castle: Castle interior and museum basement require stairs; use a baby carrier instead of a stroller.

Had a beautiful morning wandering the grounds and made a new friend. This beautiful peacock was just chilling and being admired from a safe distance. Until a child walked, started yelling to get her parents attention, causing more people to approach and surround him trying to pet him and get closer. He jumped on top of the wall to escape them. Humans need to be more respectful of spaces and animal...

The gardens are free/no tickets required. The castle itself requires a fee entrance and schedule time! There is a cafe that’s part of the university (Habitat Cafe). The gardens is more extensive than I thought. Well kept and beautiful flowers.

A beautiful and historically rich spot that feels straight out of a movie set. The architecture is striking, and the surrounding gardens are peaceful and well-maintained. Great for a quiet walk, photos, or just soaking in a bit of local history. It can get busy with tours and events, but there’s still plenty of space to enjoy. Ideal for anyone into architecture, nature, or just wanting something a...
