What a beautiful, welcoming church. The bell tower and the bell playing is glorious.

I can't say that I'm a particularly religious person, but my partner and I were both fascinated by this cathedral when we were visiting the island. It looked very beautiful on the inside, and I was very fond of the stained glass. It seems that the cathedral holds AA meetings, so it's good to see it making a positive impact on the community.

This is a beautiful Anglican Church near downtown Victoria, dedicated by Winston Churchill. There are public events and community services as well as regular church services. There's also a labyrinth on the lawn off Burdett Street.

One of the largest religious buildings in Victoria, the Christ Church Cathedral is more in line with what expects of a large European style gothic cathedral, yet having a more modern look and feel. For example, no gargoyles, but yet some modest buttresses. A spectacular interior and massive pipe organ greets visitors entering the cathedral.
In spring and summer, the lawn blooms make the labyrinth walk more engaging. In rainy months, plan your visit midday to enjoy the dry interior and warm natural light.
