How Baby-Friendly is Queen Elizabeth Park?

What makes it 72% Baby-Friendly: Wide stroller-friendly paths and quiet lawns suit naps, yet no dedicated nursing room or change table means diaper duty happens on a bench or pad; carry supplies and avoid steep side trails.

Positives:

  • Stroller access: Most main loops and gardens have wide, paved paths.
  • Warm shelter: Bloedel Conservatory offers a heated space for cold days.
  • Baby rest spots: Benches and lawns under trees are good for feeding or naps.

Challenges:

  • No changing tables: Park washrooms and portable toilets lack baby-change facilities.
  • Basic toilets: Portable units from May–October are simple and unheated.
  • Hilly areas: Some paths have inclines that can be tiring with a stroller.

I went playing disc golf. The course design is good with a little challenge that there is a basket beside the lake. The lawn is too muddy if there was rain the day before. I like the separate putting area particularly, good for practice. The view from the observation deck is spectacular. You are able to see all the local ski resorts when the sky is clear. Paid street parking on slope is availa...

My brother and I used to golf here and play in the snow growing up nearby. The park hasn't changed that much. It is still a lovely place to take visitors and I am hoping to find the artist selling the beautiful Vancouver prints again.

Come here and experience an amazing park. There are plenty of great reviews and the vast majority are glowing and rightly so. From the Blodel Conservatory to the outdoor gardens to the walking trails this park is an oasis in the middle of urban sprawl. There is an excellent restaurant. There is plenty of parking and easy access to all attractions. Public washrooms are also available. My wife and...

Absolutely beautiful park! First stop on our Vancouver trip and it was well worth the beauty. Please take the time and spend the extra cash to drop into the greenhouse. It’s not expensive and the flowers are amazing. The entire garden is well kept and the artwork made with the flowers is incredible. My only recommendation would be to somehow change the water feature that’s no longer in use. Other ...
