Gladstone House (solo trip)

Came here for a wedding. Though I didn't stay in a room I did see one from someone who was staying. Very. Nice. The outdoor patio area was so peaceful, despite being downtown it didn't feel loud at all. The food was pretty darn good (wish the portions were bigger!) especially for weddings. The venue overall was cozy and intimate, very welcoming.

We like places with lots of history and this hotel fits the bill. Renovated interior with modern mood lighting in some places. Looks like a great location for a wedding but we only stayed for a few days for a vacation. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We had our wedding at the Gladstone; a number of our guests stayed at the hotel, and we stayed on the night of our wedding. The venue was nothing but attentive and professional. The rooms were beautiful and clean, and the staff were extremely helpful and supportive. We stayed at The Gladstone for a week and it was delightful. All of the staff were extremely helpful and polite. We ate in the hotel restaurant most mornings and were often served by Jen, who was attentive and very friendly and able to give us recommendations for sightseeing, too. Great location – right where you want to be! It was a bit loud at times, but that comes with the central location and the hotel’s character. Loved the gym and our corner room with lots of charm. Receptionists were always super kind and helpful. And yes – even the elevator had character. Loved it!
