DoubleTree by Hilton Toronto Downtown (solo trip)

Decent hotel. My room was clean and in good repair, nothing super flashy. The shower was odd - barely any separation from the rest of the bathroom. Check-in and check-out were fast and efficient. The free cookie on arrival was a nice touch. The sign on my room door said check out is at noon, but it’s actually at 11am so beware of that.

This hotel is in a great location! Very quick and friendly check in, walnut cookie upon arrival. The only suggestion on this is to maybe have an alternative for those with a nut allergy. I was so thankful to be able to extend my stay here because of the air Canada strike. All of the staff were very kind and accommodating. Our arriving flight was delayed and my son and I arrived in the middle of the night, the front desk staff allowed us to have a late checkout and gave my son a hot wheels toy. Great location, near all the restaurants. Friendly service. Good value. Clean rooms. Really a great place to stay. My only small gripe is the bath/shower which is a death trap, due to having no anti-slip coating whatsoever. I came close to taking several times.

We loved our stay! Everyone at the hotel was super friendly. The room was nice and the entire hotel was clean. Unless we had super quiet neighbors, I never heard any noise outside our room (unlike other hotels where you can hear people in the next room). We swam in the pool every day and enjoyed it.
