Aquarium of Quebec (with baby)

The Aquarium of Quebec was amazing! We saw jellyfish, stingrays (you can even touch them, which is super fun!), and three polar bears that were very active around 10 a.m.—playing and moving around a lot, so that seems like a great time to visit. Great place for kids. Not only is it educational, they also had a lot of playgrounds for kids to get their wiggles out. There are naturalists who give talks about the various animals and that is really appreciated. Most displays are fine. It's not the fanciest aquarium I've ever seen, but it's decent. It is a small but lovely aquarium. Indoor and outdoor areas to visit. The polar bear is so fun to see, especially when they are active - worth the walk, and even with the construction going on. The place is clean and generally well maintained. Visited one restroom which was uncomfortably warm. We will definitely visit again, if we are vacationing in the area.

We spent a good part of the morning at the aquarium and had lunch at the restaurant inside the compound. It was a great experience, especially with a 19 month old. A reasonably nice aquarium to visit - perhaps more family/child oriented than average. The interior exhibits were pretty good. The polar bear exhibit was more expansive and interesting. The seal enclosures seemed small and empty. Difficult to get to without a car, especially as the current construction in the area seems to confuse local taxis. Probably not worth it to visit unless you have a car ...
