Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gatineau - Ottawa (couple trip)

The cleanliness of this hotel is horrendous. Our bathroom floor has not been cleaned, the pillow cases had stains and the bedside table had some sort of dried liquid on it. The lobby bathroom has stains all going down the stall walls and almost none of the equipment at the gym works. I guess you can’t complain for the price of the hotel but be ready for a gross experience.

I have never experienced such a complete lack of customer service from a hotel brand that claims to put guests first. Holiday Inn Express proved the exact opposite. Great central location close to museums and shopping. Rooms are clean and well designed. Complaints include the majority of hot breakfast items are pork. The door on our room doesn't latch unless you give the door a strong pull. A loud drinking party next door required calls to the front desk. Therefore, security needs to be better.

We stayed from Thursday to Sunday for a hockey tournament with our M18 and M15 teams. The only positive was that the rooms were clean — otherwise, it was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. Good hotel. Front hotel staff are bilingual so check in was easy. Rooms are clean and nice they show some wear on some things but what hotel doesn't. It was a sold out hotel when we stayed and I found it quite and comfortable to sleep. Breakfast was good some days others not so much depending on what is put out. I would stay here again
